I am a partner of the firm Wolford Wayne LLP. We focus on tenants’ rights litigation, and work primarily on the following situations:
When they are wrongfully evicted from their rent controlled homes due to landlord harassment (ranging from assault to elder abuse), habitability defects, unlawful discrimination, and fraudulent “no-fault evictions” – including sham owner move-in evictions and Ellis Act eviction threats.
When they are injured due to the negligence or the intentional conduct of their landlords.
When they are defending questionable eviction actions brought by landlords who put profiteering ahead of the legal obligations owed to their tenants.
I have a long-standing commitment to helping San Francisco tenants through my volunteer work with the San Francisco Tenants Union and I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Eviction Defense Collaborative. I have also been recognized for my tenant advocacy by numerous organizations, including the State Bar of California, the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco , and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.
