I am paralegal with experience in family law litigation. Though my business, Paralegal Hope, I provide support to family law practices on a per project, contact basis. As caseloads ebb and flow I can step in just when needed to help out with legal research, discovery review, drafting pleadings and other special projects.
I became interested in the law when helping a family member who was going through a contentious divorce. I taught myself how to complete judicial council forms and draft pleadings to help my family member reduce attorney’s fees. Through this process I discovered a real love of doing legal research and crafting solid arguments. When the opportunity came for me to train as a paralegal under a seasoned family law attorney I jumped at the chance. Since then I’ve has worked for multiple family attorneys in the bay area.
Prior to working as a paralegal, I worked as a Human Resources professional for more than a decade. This background helped me easily transition into the role of a well-versed paralegal. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College and is a certified paralegal under BPC § 6450 (c)(3).
